Where the numbers come from
Each planner is built on published university extension guides, such as those from Colorado State, Penn State, and Utah State. Each planner lists its sources and shows every formula and assumption on the page. Where we had to pick a default an extension guide doesn't give, the planner says so.
Planners give estimates, not guarantees. Always check flow rates, pressure ratings, and other limits against your supplier's specs for the exact parts you buy.
